Better Seen Than Heard

I will not be better seen than heard

I would throw my contacts out

Keep my glasses on

Wear the baggiest sweatshirt I can find

Take off my concealer and mascara

But if I did that

I would not be heard at all

So

I have my contacts in

My sweater is fitted

I even put on some contour and blush

Because this way

I will at least be seen and heard

Hopefully heard more so than seen

~ I am more than my appearance

But I will do whatever it takes
